"Intermuseum-2020": "Twice Rescued"
The Department of Conservation's project - exhibition "Twice Rescued" - was awarded a special diploma of the Ministry of Culture at the international festival "Intermuseum-2020".
On the page of the virtual exhibition, there are photos, showing the results of many years of conservators' work on the art pieces, which suffered during the Second World War. There one can see what the exhibits look like now and before the treatments, get acquainted with the history of museum collections and the fate of individual pieces. Some of the conserved objects, which are also part of the project "Donatello and other Renaissance masters: research and conservation", will be exhibited at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in October 2020.
"Twice Rescued" presents only a small part of the Transferred art objects restored in the workshops of the Pushkin Museum: 30 photographs of unique works of ancient and Western European art.
