Russia-Culture: celebrating 160 years since the birth of Golenishchev
An episode of a beloved Russia-Culture talk show Nabludatyel ("The Observer") was focused on Egyptology on the 8th of February, celebrating 160 years since the birth of Vladimir Golenishchev, a famous Russian orientalist and egyptologist.
The guests, including the head of the Department of Restoration and Conservation, I.Borodin, discussed the issued of archaeology and conservation of ancient Egyptian artefacts, particularly the unique burial shrowd form the collection of The Pushkin State Museum.
