Acanthus – a prickly plant with carved leaves, a symbol of immortality for the Greeks.

Dexiosis – a symbolic handshake in ancient Greek art.

Gorytos – a quiver for arrows.

Kekryphalos – a hair net of Greek women.

Omphalos – «navel» (Gr.), a semicircular ledge in ritual vessels, a symbol of creation of the world from the waters.

Sakkos (here) – a headdress of married women. Also: a vestment of Orthodox and Greek Catholic bishops.

Sphinx – a mythical hybrid creature in the form of a winged lioness with a female head.
